Mr Alex Parimalam

Mr Alex Parimalam is an Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Communication and Dean of students at Loyola College Chennai. He is a photography teacher, a script writer, does television production and also into advertisement & development of communication. In the past he has produced over 25 documentary films, mostly on the theme of people with disabilities. His films have won him several national and state awards. Has served as the Joint Director in Tamilnadu State Aids Control Society for the state of Tamilnadu.Mr. Alex is also an advocate for various national and state level health campaigns. We are proud to have him as our jury member for the photo & short film contest!

Mr Bhanu Prakash Chandra

Mr Bhanu Prakash Chandra studied Bachelor of Fine Arts(BFA) in Photography and Photojournalism at Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA) from University of Mysore, India. In 2005 Bhanu joined 'The Week’ India's leading English news weekly magazine asa photo journalist in Bangalore.Currently, Bhanu is the Deputy Photo Editor at The Week. He travels extensively across India and globe on various assignments. His main focus is human-interest features and hard news stories. Non-embedded stories from Iraq during the American troops pullout in 2011 is one such assignment to mention. Bhanu is a gold award winner at the prestigious 10th Asia Media Awards by WAN-IFRA (World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers) held in April 2011 at Bangkok.He also won the award for his photographs from an adventurous bike journey in the Himalayas. In 2011, Bhanu was chosen for T S Satyan Memorial ‘Best Magazine Photographer Award in 2011. In 2017 Bhanu was awarded Gold in news photography by WAN-IFRA Asian Media Awards held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.An avid motorcyclist and a non-stop traveller, Bhanu is a technology geek who embraces anything that's new in technology.
